Does breakthrough bleeding cause the lining of the uterus to shed when you go off the pill?

I missed 3 birth control pills and had twice unprotected...i went off the pill and had breakthrough bleeding from it...if the embryo tried attaching would it be able to because of the breakthrough bleeding?
