How can you religious lot reconcile this?

Even Lord Jesus discussed natural disasters. He said that they would occur. They are a part of our life here. Most people who are killed in religious settings are killed due to the violence of others expressing their free will in unhealthy ways. I feel sorry for you that you seem to be more angry at religion or at "God" than feeling more grief for the innocent. Perhaps your question should be: "How can I help these people?" Stop throwing rocks at religion and roll up your sleeves and get busy helping others or write a substantial check to a charity. When a person's religion is the religion of self they become the very sort of a person that they despise.
