New Yorker moving to Seattle or San Francisco?

Has anyone lived in San Fran or Seattle? I'm moving but can't decide. I like to be in an urban setting w/good restaurants but without the impersonalness of NYC. Everyone is so busy and no one really cares about each other. It's so difficult meeting new people and remaining friends. So Seattle or San Fran?
