i'm not taking sides, fight your own battles. your best bet, though, is to do as she asks as your "rental agreement" and stay out of her way. kiss , do whatever you need to until you can afford your own home again. right now, she's doing you a favor, even though it is not her house, by letting you live there. if she's a neat freak, and she's going to freak out when you do what she asks, ask her what you're doing wrong, have her show you. if she just wants to be angry, tell her she can yell all she wants, but pick something else to yell at. like a wall, a book, or the tv, and just leave. don't give her an explination, just leave.
