Hubby had a vasectomy and I need to vent?

My husband had a vasectomy on Monday and the doctor told him to expect mild pain and to rest monday and tues well all he has done is lay around and sleep all day How is it I have a baby get no pain meds come home the next day to take care of our 5 year old and cook and do laundry for my inlaws but he gets to do nothing? I don't understand am I just compaining or what? would like any input
