How come God can't help us?

i believe that god is created in our minds and hearts. Just like at christmas when we were young we believed in santa in our hearts. Believing in some religion gives you a sense of security. I personally don't believe in a god. Humans naturally believe that what they can't control has to be supernatural ya know? But in the christian bible it says that god is created in the likeness of men so he can't be perfect. Also, if he is so great why does he HAVE to be worshiped? isn't that vein??? whatever, I don't mean to trail off but do you see what I'm getting at? y'all email at noncomformingcomformist@yahoo.com if you have something to say about this.
