Has anyone had their back go out shortly (3 days) after getting an adjustment by a chiropractor?

Years ago my back would go out every month or so. I have since stretched daily to avoid back problems but I have recently begun to feel twinges that I would like help with. I am concidering going back to a chiropractor. Unfortunately, the only two times I had an adjustment my back went out within 3 days - maybe it was a coincidence.
